Week 2

Cape Town

Highlights of Capetown:

Catching up with Will
A few of you know our good mate Big Will from his stay in Oz during the high school days and frequent visits since.... Needless to say he still has a way with fashion.

Cape Point

Will took Mark and I out to Cape Point "safely" in his Cooper S, it was a bit windy up there, with some clouds in the distance but the view was spectacular. Guy sustained his first stubbed toe of the trip and got pushed into the bushes by Will in his attempt to demonstrate his Rugby skills. It's fair to say that he's still in training for the springboks.

Anyway, check the view:

The Pub Crawl
All pumped up for a night on the town, we decided we'd head on an organised pub crawl down the main street in capetown. We met up at another backpackers where we awaited our guides. then waited and waited and waited some more. Then Cooks and Sean showed up, pulled out some bottles of liquor from their bag and shot glasses. Luckily, at the first bar we managed to rustle up some more people for the tour ending up with a solid crew of 15 or so and the night kicked on. Note to anyone, anywhere on Long street in capetown, thongs and shorts are acceptable attire.

Table Mountain
The morning after we'd planned to hike Table Mountain, although those who shall not be named... Sparkles... *Cough* we're feeling slightly under the weather! So we waited in the heat, in the line for the cable car instead for an hour. I'm sure the walk would've have fixed him up one way or the other.

Once again, the scenery blew us away, has to be one of the most surreal views in the world as you have the ocean, the mountains and wildlife:

Braai with Will and Storm
The introduction to the baby bump! (Little Dutton was born on 20/3/09, name TBA - Congrats guys, can't wait to meet the newest member of the clan later this year!)

Storm once again was in fine form, introducing Mark to Beefy Beefy Bovril (South African - meat based - vegemite like substance) and Mrs Balls (Chutney) along with many parables about South Africa's greatness!

The new house is great guys, thankyou so much for your hospitality whilst we were in Capetown and for the Vida Shirts! Good luck with Sumo and Vida worldwide!

We are at the moment in Namibia, the sandiest place on earth and some other pics have been put up.

Will update this further and get onto week 3 at the next possible time.

Take care, stay safe and stay away from sydney airport.

Love
